Insurance Based Solutions
Medicaid programs and Medicare Savings Programs (QMB, SLMB, QI, LIS) can help cover premiums, copays, deductibles, and prescription costs — if you meet income and resource limits.
Medicaid is a joint federal and state program that provides health coverage to people with limited income and resources. In Georgia, Medicaid works alongside Medicare through special programs called Medicare Savings Programs. These programs may pay for your Medicare premiums and even help with deductibles, coinsurance, and prescription drug costs.
Not everyone qualifies, but even if your income is a little too high for full Medicaid, you might still be eligible for partial help or Extra Help with prescriptions (LIS).
